15 minutes before Sara Beth and Austin were scheduled to arrive, huge dark clouds came out of absolutely nowhere and it started pouring. Talk about impeccable timing! Staring at the weather forecast proved useless since none of actually knew how to determine what the radar was forecasting for the next few hours. Besides, it said we were supposed to be dry at that very moment so what do they know? We opted for the try-to-drive-out-of-the-storm method and with much luck, it worked! Would you believe that right around the corner from the ugliest storm it looked like this?
Can you say fortuitous? :o) Sara Beth and Austin - you guys were great! Thanks for driving around looking for sun with us! Can't wait to see you guys again!

Yesterday's session with Antwan, Devonte, and Michael kept us laughing the whole time! These guys are just too funny and their competitive natures brought out bigger and bigger personalities as the session went on!
A couple of months ago, a friend made us aware of an organization called All the King's Men. To quote from their website:
"All The Kings Men is a Christian Based nonprofit agency providing mentor programming for minority young boys that are middle and high school aged living in the Nashville- Davidson County area. The program will form partnerships with local school’s, community centers and the Juvenile Court System. All The Kings Men’s goal is to encourage leadership through exposure, and to build relationships between young boys and adult men that lead to the youth growing into a caring responsible adult man. Only through personal relationships can a sense of individual responsibility be reestablished that will give young man the commitment to follow through on a path to adulthood with a sense of pride and accomplishment."
All three boys are men-tees and I can tell you from the short time we spent with them that they are such a testament to the success of the organization and to their families! They are respectful, intelligent young men - full of life, and aiming for great things!
Thank you all for coming out and spending the evening with us and thank you to Dywuan as well for coordinating everything! :o)
The weather has been UNBELIEVABLE over the past several days and it's made getting out for shoots such a pleasure! I had so much fun hanging out with Jordan and her mom Beverly last Friday! They are clearly best friends and they were both so into "getting the shot" that they were willing do climb through just about anything to get it! We traipsed through thick, tall grasses, got covered in burrs that my camera bag will probably never be rid of, and all other manner of things but it was worth it! Check it out...
We started off with just getting a little dirty. I love a good dusty pair of jeans!
Then came the scary thick grass. I'm usually completely unconcerned about this sort of thing but every time you stepped, you lost your feet! Eek! Again though, worth it!
I've had this image in my head since I heard about Jordan's formal voice training. I'm so excited about how it turned out!
Hope you enjoyed them! :o) Jordan and Beverly, thanks again!
