Wedding Photographers – Augusta, GA Wedding – Rebecca and David

Written by Mel McLellan

Last Saturday we were in Augusta Georgia for Rebecca and David's wedding.  They were married at Saint James United Methodist Church with the reception following at The Richmond on Greene.  We were so lucky to have beautiful places and gorgeous people to work with! :)  David's mom is from Columbia and their whole family has given us the renewed desire to pick up Salsa dancing!  We'll see how our two white left feet do with that...ha!

David, Rebecca and family - thank you all for your warmth and kindness!  You made us feel so welcomed and appreciated and we really enjoyed spending the day with you!  Congratulations newlyweds! :)  See you soon! - Mel

Get your run on

After the last race ended, we began a new race with two parts. Part 1: most miles over 30 days wins. Part 2: fastest 3 mile run. All I can say about part 1 is wow. Shannon Sewell destroyed us all. She came in first place with 139.59 miles! No joke, no typo. I'm getting tired just looking at the number. In comparison, second place was 63 miles. Congrats, Shannon! I would make some sort of comment about how I am going to take you DOWN next time... but that was pretty extreme... so I'll just have to refrain from any smack talk for the time being for fear of not being able to deliver. Fred Egan was in first place for part two for 29 days out of 30... and then, a last minute surprise... After being completely decimated by Shannon in part 1, I decided to give 200% effort to try to win part 2. I figured it would be pointless since I am incredibly slow. But I thought maybe I'd have a chance if I used a treadmill on high speed, and made that force me to go faster. On the last night of the race, I headed to the gym and tested out my theory. Ignoring all of the signs that tell you how important it is to stop if you feel dizzy or nausea, I pushed through anyway and was able to just barely take the top spot. I was more sore than I've ever been for almost an entire week, and felt sick for three full days... needless to say, I won't be attempting that again for a long time! Congrats, Fred, for leading the entire month, and props to your speed! --Without a treadmill to help move my legs, I wouldn't even have been close. I would probably have passed out on the side of the road after half a mile and still be laying there, recovering. Everyone else who participated, good job all around and I look forward to the next race--I have barely walked 5 feet since it ended because I have no one to compete with.  Let's get this thing rolling!

Nashville Photography – Evins Mill Wedding – Smithville, TN

Ok so I just realized that in all the hustle and bustle around here this week, we haven't posted an image from Lissa and David's wedding yet!  These guys are such a laid-back, easy-going couple and their wedding was the perfect reflection of that.  They were married in an outdoor ceremony at Evins Mill.  If you haven't been out there, you should definitely check it out!  We had never been and we fell in love with the rustic nature of the place.  Who wants to go for an all day shoot??   I love this image from Sean!  We wanted to mimic the historic feel of the place with this arrangement and I really like the modern twist he's put on it with the lighting and angle.  Good job Babe! ;)
