Katie and JJ’s Fontanel Mansion Wedding

Written by Mel McLellan

It's hard to believe February is already upon us! Sean and I had the pleasure of photographing Katie and JJ's wedding at Fontanel Mansion just before Christmas and I'm so excited to be finally sharing them with you! :) It was a chilly, dreary day. Plans got changed as adaptation was necessary, but none of that matters if you don't let it and spirits stayed high with this group all day long. In the end, this wedding was all kinds of gorgeous. Gorgeous couple... Fontanel_Mansion_Wedding Gorgeous wedding party... Fontanel_Mansion_Wedding Gorgeous touching ceremony complete with actual thunder approving their declaration as husband and wife! No joke - as soon as the minister said "wife" a thundering boom filled the room! Fontanel_Mansion_Wedding Gorgeous reception with heartfelt speeches... Fontanel_Mansion_Wedding A rocking party led by The Little Kings Fontanel_Mansion_Wedding Beautiful florals by Village of Flowers Fontanel_Mansion_Wedding And did I mention the reception was GORGEOUS? Angela Proffitt and her team really outdid themselves. When you pair her with Nashville Event Lighting you know it's going to be a beautiful event! I kept hearing Fontanel's staff talk about how the mansion had never looked more beautiful and of course the hanging cake by Jay Qualls was a huge hit! Fontanel_Mansion_Wedding Fontanel_Mansion_Wedding Fontanel_Mansion_Reception The evening ended with a picturesque exit to a wonderful night. Fontanel_Mansion_Wedding To Katie and JJ and your wonderful families - thank you for inviting us into your lives. All of your love for each other is overwhelming -- it was exactly what we hope to see at every wedding. Congrats to you all! We hope you enjoy the sneak peek! :)

McLellan Style (Some of the) Best of 2012

Written by Mel McLellan

I sat hereĀ forever trying to come up with the content for this post -- or rather I should say, narrowing down the content for this post. I have way too many favorites. We are way too lucky as photographers to get to photograph the amazing people, emotions and places that we do. I would have sat here for much much longer just trying to establish the definitive McLellan Style Best of 2012 image set and let's face it: I would have gone gray before that post got written. Sooo, I looked at my giant favorites folder and selected some of my favorites at random. This will therefore not be known as the Best of 2012 list, but instead the Some of the Best of 2012 list. :) Thank you all for an amazing 2012! We look forward to many more adventures with you in 2013! - Mel

Merry Christmas!

Around here, we're settling in for a great holiday with these two monkeys. It's our first year to have a kid who really gets the concept - our first year of belief in Santa and talking about Baby Jesus and discovering the wonder of decorating cookies with "glitter" as Seven calls it. I'm so excited for Christmas Day! :) We hope your Christmas is also full of warm memories and lots of love! Merry Christmas! - Mel and Sean
