Written by Mel McLellan

Hello! It's your delinquent blogging photographers again - Sorry it's taken so long to post something new this time! It's been a hectic few weeks but it ended nicely with a trip to the Governer's Club for an engagement session with Emily and Jock. These guys are getting married in October and it's going to be great! They're such a cute couple and Emily is going to make such an elegant bride. :) Here are a few of the favs from yesterday:

Thanks guys! You were great! :)

The new face of McLellan Studio

Written by Sean McLellan

We've been working on this for the past month or so... There are still a few details here and there that need to be ironed out, but it's close enough to launch! Those of you with screen resolutions of 1024x768 or higher, starting today will see our brand new website. We've made the interface a lot simpler, and the photos much larger so you can really get a good look at our work.

The new galleries allow you to scroll through the photos yourself, or let the website play through the images while you sit back and watch.

We've got a new/better client photo section in the works... it will have many more features, and have a much more polished look to it than the current system. We'll also be offering a lot more print sizes as well as the ability to renew your own gallery without contacting us and waiting on us to renew it if it expires. Many more updates on the way--Stay tuned!

Please let us know what you think of the new site... And definitely let us know if you notice any problems, so I can fix it right away!

Look what I found this morning!

Written by Sean McLellan

Google always comes out with all sorts of great free toys. I decided to download and check out Picasa this morning... And when I started it up, it automatically searched all of the hard drives and found all of our image files (wow did that take a long time)... Anyhow, it had a feature to organize them by date, so I started looking through the earliest things it found, and there were all sorts of old things that I didn't even know we had. Here's one in particular that I wanted to share. Melanie was an art major in college, and she concentrated on portraiture (And if I do say so, myself, she is really good at it!). Here is a photo from her senior show that I found of our friends Missy & Josh in front of some drawings she did of them. Artists are never satisfied with their own work--so rather than show this to her first so she can say "no, you can't show anybody those old drawings!" and try to stop me... Instead, I'm going to post this really quick while she isn't looking! Missy & Josh They eventually got married, and we shot their wedding last year in Asheville, NC. -Sean
