St. Jude Concert with Amy Grant and Vince Gill

The day before we left for the beach (so far behind I know!) we attended the St. Jude Concert here in Westhaven. Every year a house in Westhaven is donated to be given away in a raffle to benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital.

To kick off this year's fundraiser, Amy Grant and Vince Gill came out to sing a few songs and draw support. I remember listening to them as a kid and it's amazing how music takes you back! A record of Amy Grant's was probably the first one I ever owned and yes, I mean a record - one of those large black discs - geez I'm getting old! Listening to her sing I felt like I was back twirling in my parent's living room in front of one of those big console record players.

Anyhoo, they did a great job and if you haven't already, you should definitely pick up a ticket for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway! It's such a great cause and you might win a really cool house too! You can find out more by visiting St. Jude's website. Here are a few pictures from the event:

We’re home

We've been out of town for a week and just got home a few hours ago. We brought a laptop with us, but didn't have any luck finding a place to connect to the internet. So now we have quite a bit of catching up to do... If you've emailed or called us this week and haven't received a response yet, we'll be getting back with you ASAP--thank you for your patience. Congrats to my Hubby and the Jennay and Drew Family!

We're broadcasting this week from the beach where we're taking a much needed vacation! It's been so nice to have a chance to just relax and get rested up before wedding season begins. While we've been down here these last few days, Sean got word that he received 3rd place in the Wedding Photojournalist Association's international competition for the "Speeches and Toasting" category. I'm so proud of him! He is now the first photographer in all of TN to win a Top 3 award on WPJA! :) You can find the link to his award winning image here.

We also want to send out a huge congratulations to our dear friends Jennay and Drew who just gave birth to little Anthony! We're so excited to see him and we love you guys!! A few more images from Jennay's maternity session a few weeks back are here. The second to last is my favorite - that's the Jennifer we know and love. ;)

There's great news all around! We hope you are all having a wonderful week! When we get home, we'll post some photos from our trip and get the blog caught up in general so stay tuned!
