We had a great family session the other night! Everyone was so laid back and we had the best time fishing in the pond out back, chasing the boys around the yard, then being chased by the boys on the tractor. :) I love big, closely-knit families! Thank you guys so much for a wonderful session!

Don't you? :) You might recall that we when took them out for the big production of an "Us" Session back in April, I had mentioned that the dress wasn't done until we got it in a creek. Well we would wait until the most miserably hot and humid month to do it but last weekend it finally happened! It was so hot and we haven't had rain here in a while so the creek was dried out a bit and not flowing well. Nothing is better than hot weather and smelly creek water! Yuck! They were the best sports EVER! I'm really pleased with our grand finale and you will be too because the session was for us and thus, multiple images! :)
We started out with this green fabric. I bought it years ago to cover a chair. I don't have the chair anymore (a fruitful project right?) but I still love the fabric!
The field and the tall grasses were a little too tempting to pass up so we took a quick journey into the weeds...

Needless to say, we were downright baking at this point so into the water we went. See, we don't have big pretty oceans to get brides wet in around here so we had to do a trash the dress Tennessee style! :)

So by the time we were done, I'm pretty sure we had about 50 pounds of soaking wet, stinky creek water clothes and I'm really quite surprised that there isn't a lingering earthy scent in our car. All the same, it was a blast! Thank you guys soooo much! :)

We are starting an exciting new subsidiary studio and we’re in need of a talented associate!
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate considerable skill, passion, artistic vision, a hunger for constant growth, and a fun, personable personality. This person must be positive, professional, and motivated. Most likely, this person will already have some wedding photography experience. He or she enjoys the artistic process and working with people.
However, we are not looking for someone who wants to start their own photography business and just wants a job for the short term. We will be investing time and money into you and building this studio around you so we want someone who is looking to be a long-term part of our team. This position is perfect for those who don’t want to deal with business side of things! The subsidiary studio will be completely managed by us so you’ll be free to photograph and enjoy your clients without the hassles of marketing, sales, post-processing, etc.
Also, it should be noted that this studio will be devoted entirely to weddings so our associates will still be able to pursue ventures not related to weddings on their own. For example, if photographing children is your passion and what you want as your own business, you could still be a great match for this position. You would be able to devote your time to growing in your specialty niche of children's portraits while still taking part in and earning income from the weddings you enjoy.
