Baby Shower Time!
This past weekend was so much fun! We shot our last wedding before the little man’s arrival and then spent the rest of the time with my college girlfriends, topping off festivities with our first baby shower. This shower was especially great because my friend Missy is 12 days behind me in her own pregnancy and we got to have our shower together. I’m not terribly fond of being the total center of attention so sharing center stage for baby gift opening was fantastic and Missy and Josh are having a girl so we got to see the pink version of everything too! :o)
My dear friend Opal manned the camera for me so that I didn’t have to be on photo duty – thanks Op!
You know what I love best about baby games at my own shower? That I don’t have to play them! :o)
That’s right – your only participation in shower games at your own shower is rediculing everyone else’s attempts to draw babies on top of their heads.
Two pregnant ladies back to back = a TON of string!
Cheese much?
While we were all together, Kristin announced that she’s expecting in May! YAY!! Congratulations to Kristin and Rickey!
Reverting to college days. I would imagine this will be embarassing to our children when we’re 60 and still carrying on this way. :o)
Jennifer and Diana – your kids are going to be especially embarassed! ;o)
A HUGE thank you to you all! You are too good to us and we love you!!
Wellington and Dirtball say thank you too for the great bags and tissue paper to play in. In these final good days of their life before a little creature moves in to terrorize them 24-7, play things are always welcome. :o)
I can't sleep so instead I'm spending money…
Work until midnight, in bed by 1am, and then wide awake at 6:30am – hmmm…this does not work for me. However, we did get the coolest shark onesie in the mail yesterday from our adorable friends Mel and Brad and it got me to thinking that maybe there are cool boy clothes out there, after all. This brings us to the spending money part and if you’ve got babies (boys or girls), you’ve got to check out this way cool site I just found! The Retro Baby
Baby McLellan might not have a college fund but he will look completely rad as an infant! I mean seriously, how amazing are these??
I know, I know – depending upon how cool the next generation thinks Mr. T and Ron Burgandy are will totally effect whether he will love us or hate us for this. However, in the meantime, we’re bigger than him and we think they’re awesome! ;o)
Happy 5th Anniversary (And other stuff that is good too)
Today is the day. Five years of having the BEST. WIFE. EVER. Thank you so much for everything, Mel–I love you so much!
We’re still amazed at how quickly the time has gone. It seems like we were getting married a few months ago, but at the same time, it’s been forever. We couldn’t be any happier, and are thrilled looking forward to the next five years!
Check out that rad shirt. “With bump. Not plump.” Mel was worried about the awkward “is she pregnant, is she not” stage… and one of our brides, upon hearing about her worries was absolutely fantastic and ran out right away and got this shirt for her! Thank you so much, Claire!
We’ve got multiple requests for a belly shot. Here you go. Me, poking [insert yet-to-be-determined-awesome-name here].
On another note–we have a ton of thank you’s to send out! All of the comments you leave on our blog are wonderful, and greatly, greatly appreciated. It really does make our day to hear from everybody out there, and we are over the moon thankful to all of you. To show our maximum thankfulnessocity*, we’ve got several $10 iTunes gift certificates going out, today. And many more to come… Here goes:
