We have been so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love that we have received in the past few weeks.  The blog comments, emails, cards, flowers, meals, thoughts, and prayers sent our way have meant more than anyone can possibly know.  We cannot thank you enough.  We are completely heartbroken over the loss of our son and only time will make us whole again but your support and love have helped to lessen our pain in this difficult time.  You are incredible people.  From the bottom of our hearts we thank you – really and truly, thank you so much.

It is our Christmas wish that each of you will look with fresh eyes on the treasure you have in your loved ones and take the time to show them how much they mean to you this season.  If you have children, look into their eyes and remember what an incredible gift it is to be able to do even just that.  When we look at all of the simple things we take for granted every day, it becomes so obvious how rich our lives really are and that every Christmas season is a wonderful one, no matter what.  May you all have a beautiful and blessed Christmas.

Much love,

Mel and Sean

When we saw John and Dalisa this past summer, John mentioned that he has always wanted to photograph a pregnant bride.  Knowing John’s affinity for the bizarre, I asked “so are we talking totally redneck/white trash kind of pregnant bride?”  Yes and more was the answer! :o)  Sean and I promptly volunteered to be John’s guinea pigs for his latest vision.  We are Tennesseans after all and who knows the ways of the redneck better??

Here’s a quick sneak peek.  If you want to see more, go check them out on the AltF Blog.  Picture big hair, frosted lipstick, a powder blue tux, and the preferred beer of Nascar…

Thanks for inviting us out to play you guys!  We had a blast and the resulting images are too much fun!

For those of you tiring of looking at baby things, please bear with!  This is the last of it!  –You know, until the little man comes along and we force you to look at pictures of our kid all the time! ;o)

This past Saturday was the day for our Franklin baby shower.  Little Man loaded up on the goods and I had a great time visiting with close friends and family.  Thank you so much for the wonderful shower ladies!!  We love you!

Sean’s grandmother made this for him before he was born and it has now been passed on to the next generation.

Rose, Sonny, and Andy (the kids I used to nanny for) all made special art for the baby’s room.  Rose painted canvasses for him and Sonny and Andy painted pirate ships.  Between that and the shark bath towel, I think the bathroom is officially pirate themed!  Now we have to get on digging out the “throw it in there room” and transforming it into a home for baby things!  We’ve still got time…right?
