We are thrilled to have been nominated to return to be a mentor again this year for Thirst Relief’s Mentor Auction! Not familiar with Thirst Relief? They are a non-profit who provides clean water to those in need around the world. (www.thirstrelief.org)

Through their Mentor Auction, Thirst Relief will enable you to bid on eBay for a 90-minute instructional session with some of the best photographers in the business! That means you have the chance to spend 90 minutes with us, learning the ins and outs of photography to help you develop into a more rounded photographer.

We will be more than happy to arrange to meet with you in person or via Skype or phone if you would prefer. BUT, if you come to Nashville, we will not only do a 90-minute mentoring session with you, we will throw in a mini-photoshoot as our gift! So please! Go bid and let’s raise some money for a great cause!

100% of the proceeds directly benefit Thirst Relief, meaning all that money goes towards saving the lives of those in need!

The auction is now live and we are a little late getting the word out on the blog so GO BID TODAY! Bidding ends on Sunday, February 3rd at 10pm PST.

Happy Bidding and thanks so much in advance! :)

Today is Serai’s first snow and it makes me think back to Seven’s first snow when he was just a tiny bit younger than she is now. My oh my what a contrast. :)

Clearly we are true southerners and not at all prepared to dress for cold weather, but we do our best for a brief dash into the snow for pictures.

We’re now settled back into our cozy house to eat warm goodies and watch the snow melt. Even if it is the most fleeting taste of winter, these will still be some of my favorite memories to hold on to as they get older. :)

Hope you all are having a wonderful day as well!

It’s hard to believe February is already upon us! Sean and I had the pleasure of photographing Katie and JJ’s wedding at Fontanel Mansion just before Christmas and I’m so excited to be finally sharing them with you! :)

It was a chilly, dreary day. Plans got changed as adaptation was necessary, but none of that matters if you don’t let it and spirits stayed high with this group all day long. In the end, this wedding was all kinds of gorgeous. Gorgeous couple…

Gorgeous wedding party…

Gorgeous touching ceremony complete with actual thunder approving their declaration as husband and wife! No joke – as soon as the minister said “wife” a thundering boom filled the room!

Gorgeous reception with heartfelt speeches…

And did I mention the reception was GORGEOUS? Angela Proffitt and her team really outdid themselves. When you pair her with Nashville Event Lighting you know it’s going to be a beautiful event! I kept hearing Fontanel’s staff talk about how the mansion had never looked more beautiful and of course the hanging cake by Jay Qualls was a huge hit!

To Katie and JJ and your wonderful families – thank you for inviting us into your lives. All of your love for each other is overwhelming — it was exactly what we hope to see at every wedding. Congrats to you all! We hope you enjoy the sneak peek! :)
