I thought I’d share a few images from one of my favorite bridal sessions to date. Donna was such a gorgeous bride and we had the best time at her and Glenn’s wedding! I love the old starlet feel she brought to her look and Scarritt Bennett was the perfect backdrop!

Donna is such a bubbly, happy person who laughs all the time so it’s kind of ironic that my favorites are mostly her serious faces but she’s just so fabulously sexy when she’s serious, don’t you think? :)

Last week we were asked to photograph the Reinfeldt family for Southern Land Company’s “Horizons” Magazine.  Mike Reinfeldt is the new general manager of the TN Titans football team and he and his family are new residents of one of Southern Land’s most elite developments.  I was joking with Mike’s wife Susan about how I’m going to send our kids to boarding school when they become teenagers because they lose their minds!  I have to say though, they have the two best 12 and 13 year olds I’ve ever seen!  They were so awesome with their parents and had just the coolest attitudes!  I think my new plan is to send our kids to Susan! :)

These kinds of shoots are a little out of the norm for us.  We’re shooting with someone else’s vision in mind and since the subjects of the articles are giving their time to the magazine, we feel like we need to get in and out quick!  Commercial is just a whole different ball game!  Still it was fun and they are such a great family!  Thanks for inviting us into your home!

Ok, so we’ve been trying so hard to get the new blog up all week and I’ve been holding back on all of these posts so that they could be on the pretty, shiny, new blog! This past Monday was my Granny’s 67th birthday! I don’t get to see her nearly as much as I’d like. She only lives a couple of hours away but every day seems swamped lately! Sometimes you just have to make time and do the things that are important so Sean and I took off to the Chattanooga area on Monday to have a late lunch and spend some time with the fam.

While we were there, my uncle gave me this really cool picture of my Papa when he was young. I love these little finds! They are such treasures! This was a wallet-sized photo they had found in my great grandmother’s house after she died. This is why we do what we do. Everyone should have a documentary of their lives for their families to treasure! This picture is so dear to me and I would love to have more like it – ones that show him laughing or how he wrapped his arm around my grandmother’s waist when they were young. It’s so important!
