Ruby and Daisy

Written by Mel McLellan

Holly asked us to take some portraits of her "daughters" so we met up with them at the old Franklin Country Club on Monday for a session. We've not had a ton of experience with pet portraits so it was quite the event! They ran, we ran, Holly tackled - we all wore out eventually. :) I have to say I was starting to wonder if we were getting anything good or not but it all turned out pretty well in the end. Here's a taste of what we got -

Thanks Holly! Tell the girls they looked fabulous! ;)

Night-life Engagement Session

Written by Mel McLellan

On Sunday night we went out with Mary and Matt for their engagement session. Sean and I haven't ever tried a night shoot before and we wanted to experiment with the city lights - just to see what we might come up with. We are so lucky to have clients who trust our vision and will run with our wild ideas, even when they know it's completely uncharted territory for us. Well I think their faith paid off because I am so excited about this shoot! We got sooo many great shots and it was really a lot of fun to expiriment with the different light sources (or lack there-of). We would love to do more of these and most importantly, we would love to hear what you think! Here's a little teaser from our night... Are they cute or what? :) Thank you so much guys! We had a blast and we hope you did too! - Mel

Bonnie and Scott’s Wedding!

Written by Mel McLellan

On Saturday we had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Bonnie and Scott. We photographed Bonnie's cousin's wedding just a few month previously and we absolutely love their family so we were excited to spend time with them all again. :) The couple was married at the Washington Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville, TN. Rain was coming down in sheets so we opted for the indoors this time! Here are a few highlights of the evening....

First my favorite -

This was on of the prettiest church weddings we've ever done and so much credit goes to More Than Flowers and their beautiful arrangements.

This ring bearer is one of the coolest kids you'll ever meet! He's going to be a photographer someday I think - he followed us around with his digitial camera and shot like a pro - he's going to be my next assistant. ;)

The surprisingly well-practiced youngsters...

First Dance...

I thought this was cool - they took their parent's cake toppers and wedding photos and made cakes for them too. :) (Cakes by Carla Gault)

Bonnie's dad's band - Four on the Floor - kept the party hoppin'. (youngsters, hopin' - am I getting old??) Seriously - best band ever! You should hire them for your wedding! Four on the Floor Angie's Catering prepared all of the yummy food - it was delicious!

What a great party! Thanks for having us along guys! Enjoy your honeymoon and we'll chat when you get back! :)
