McLellan Style (Some of the) Best of 2012
I sat here forever trying to come up with the content for this post — or rather I should say, narrowing down the content for this post. I have way too many favorites. We are way too lucky as photographers to get to photograph the amazing people, emotions and places that we do.
I would have sat here for much much longer just trying to establish the definitive McLellan Style Best of 2012 image set and let’s face it: I would have gone gray before that post got written. Sooo, I looked at my giant favorites folder and selected some of my favorites at random. This will therefore not be known as the Best of 2012 list, but instead the Some of the Best of 2012 list. :)
Thank you all for an amazing 2012! We look forward to many more adventures with you in 2013!

Natasha and Bart: A Nashville Wedding
You’ve never seen so much talent packed into one wedding as there was at Natasha and Bart’s. Both coming from music backgrounds, the music was insane! Amazing vocals and killer guitar playing – these guys did it right! They are also the sweetest people you’ve ever met. :)
Natasha loves the sun and Scarritt Bennett was the perfect backdrop for lots of gorgeous light.
These guys were too funny not to post. No one was lacking personality in this crowd! :)
I love morning and afternoon weddings at Scarritt. The light pours into the chapel so beautifully. It’s just so picturesque.
Natasha and Bart, it was such a pleasure to be a part of your wedding day! Thank you for inviting us into your lives and letting us be a part of your very special occasion. You guys are the best! Hope you enjoy this sneak peek!
Lindsay and Andrew Get Married
Never have there been two people who exuded more happiness on their wedding day than Lindsay and Andrew. These two just radiated excitement all day long – they were positively giddy about getting married to each other. They were exactly what you want to see in a bride and groom and were such a joy to photograph!
We started the day in Brooklyn. I just love this first look. :)
When we talked about their wedding photos, Lindsay said that one of the things she was most looking forward to seeing was a close-in shot of them laughing together. This is one of my favorites.
Can you say “perfect day”?
The wedding itself took place at Blue Hill Farm just north of New York City. Lindsay and Andrew had a few of the people they love stand up and tell fun stories or talk about the symbolism behind the marriage ceremony. It was so personal and had the whole crowd laughing. I’m so copying this for a vow renewal one day!
The setting at Blue Hill was serene and the food made me want to grow a huge vegetable garden and start cooking up tiny intricate appetizers. :)
And so the laughter continued as guests feasted on Blue Hill’s amazing creations. It was a lovely, lovely evening.
Lindsay and Andrew – you guys are the. best. I’m so glad we could be there to witness your love and your amazing celebration. Thanks for having us! :)
