It seems like forever since we’ve had a weekend without a wedding! Being so busy is so much fun but we’re also grateful for a bit of a break. We spent all weekend showing houses to a couple of our friends who will soon be moving back to the area. Sean has a real estate licence and we mainly use it for our own investment purposes but occassionally something else comes up and he really enjoys all of the ins and outs of the real estate field with the research and numbers and more numbers and more numbers. I just like looking inside houses. :) So that was our weekend and we ended it with an engagement session Sunday night with Jodi and Matt. Matt thinks he has the Chandler camera smile but I’m tellin’ ya – they’re both naturals – just look at them! :)

You guys did great! Thank you so much! :)

So in addition to everything else going on this past weekend, my honey had a birthday on Saturday. We’ve been going so non-stop that we didn’t get to celebrate until Monday night when we went to dinner at Carraba’s (sp?) with some friends and then to see the new Pixar movie “Cars”. If you’re ever in Carraba’s in Cool Springs and you get a waiter with a gotee named John then you have to order his special! I don’t know what it is and if that guy ever quits I don’t know what I’ll ever eat at that restaurant again but this stuff is soooo good! Just say “Pasta Frias (free-ahs)” and if your waiter gives you a funny look, it’s not John. :) “Cars” is very cute by the way – I highly recommend it!

So here’s our birthday picture. Sean and I have this lovely habit of making different faces in the same picture. He always goes for the goofy face and I go for the smile – then I make a goofy face and it turns out he’s smiling. We just can’t get it together! But that’s us so what are you going to do? Might as well think of it as endearing I guess. :)

Happy Birthday Dearest! ;*

Monday morning we went out to the park for a kid’s session with Hayden, Gavin, Mia, and Aubrey. This is what kid’s portraits are supposed to be! We love playing games with them and letting them run about and be themselves while we take pictures. So much more of their personalities come through this way and if they make a bunch of silly faces – so be it! :) I really believe those are the pictures that will be treasured years later; not the stiff smiling looks. Anyway, we had so much fun – we don’t get to do nearly enough of these! The kids were just precious and the scenery was picturesque. Here are just a few of many…

This is one makes me laugh out loud! :)
