On Tuesday we had the pleasure of doing a “Wed” Session with Marie and Jason. Wed Sessions take place after the wedding and typically involve your wedding attire. It’s a relaxed, fun, and fabulous way to get great portraits as a couple without the pressures of the wedding day. You also have the option of more locations than your wedding day timeline might allow. These guys chose the Franklin Square because of their love for history and the sentimental tie of many dates in the district. Jason took to our relaxed approach to portraiture like a fish to water and kept us all laughing through the entire session! Having only met Marie previously, it was great to get to see them together and how she lights up in his presence. :) They are such a great couple.

You know the drill – here’s the sneak peek – more to follow soon!

Sam and Magdalena are getting married this Saturday and they will be the first wedding to be held at the Westhaven Clubhouse. What a sweet gig for us that we just have to walk down the street to shoot their wedding! Because they just arrived from out of town, we met them for the first time a couple of days ago and shot their engagement pictures. Man, we are in soooo much trouble! This couple cannot take a bad picture! They were so great – I’m sure they thought a Westhaven engagement session would involve the fountain and the lovely homes but instead we dragged them into the construction site out front. :) There is no possible better backdrop than the dirt and weeds – don’t you think?

Congrats Guys! See you Saturday!

Ok so we’re going to be trying something new and it all starts with the blog. Sean and I have decided to work some extra magic on your photos which means more time, which means more of a process, which means a different method for the blog images. Starting today we’ll be posting just one image from every shoot – that’s right – only one! But wait dear readers, there’s more! A few weeks after the single teaser image is posted, we’ll be posting teaser galleries, soon to be followed by the real deal in its entirety after the couple has come in for their private viewing. Change is in the wind but change is good! Hopefully you’ll enjoy the build up to the grand openings with us as we let you in on a little more here and there throughout the process.

Without further adieu, a big thank you Emily and Johnny for making us a part of their wedding day! They were married over the weekend in a candlelight ceremony at the Oak Hill Assembly of God followed by a reception at Mere-Bulles Restaurant. What an awesome group! You all were so much fun and so great to work with. This is just a tiny taste of all of the awesome images we got of you good lookin’ people and by tiny, I mean if you think this is good, wait until you see the rest! :P

Emily – our beautiful bride:

Blessings to you both Emily and Johnny! We wish you a long and full life together.
