Rachel and JP are Engaged!
On our way back from North Carolina on Saturday we had the priveledge of photographing for my dear friend Rachel and her fiance JP. Rachel and I became fast friends freshman year of college when we lived on the same hall. I’m so excited to see her getting married now! She and JP are so cute! And speaking of cute, so is Jonesboro, TN! If you’ve not visited this tiny little town you absolutely must get up there. I hear they have a huge Storytelling Festival there every year that we’re going to have to check out sometime. Anyway, here are a few favs from our session…

It was so good to see you guys! I laaav you Rach! ;)

Meagan and Claes’ Redneck Wedding
Meagan’s title, not mine! :) It was actually a very beautiful and classy wedding set back in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. Claes and Meagan live in Florida but his grandmother lives in the mountains and when Meagan saw her house for the first time, she knew that’s where she wanted to get married. The ceremony was held at the outdoor alter of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Franklin, NC. We then proceeded another 30 minutes into the mountains to Claes’ grandmother’s house for the reception. What a beautiful setting!

The crazy wedding party!

The happy couple –

Dinner was served by Fat Buddies Barbeque – Their ribs are so tender you can actually eat them with a fork!

Guest flew in from everywhere – Florida to the Ukraine – to celebrate with Claes and Meagan.

Here’s a first – Meagan was swinging on the rope swing the day before and thought it would look too cool in her wedding dress! :)

Entertainment was provided by a great bluegrass band called Curtis Blackwell and the Dixie Bluegrass Boys

What fun! Thank you so much for bringing us in to share your day with you! We had a wonderful time and we hope you love your pictures. Have a fabulous honeymoon in Belize!! And now I’m off to learn the lyrics to Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” because ever since it was played as the couple’s first dance, I can’t stop singing it – this is now day three of it constantly playing in my head! :)
High School – Yikes!
Hey Janel – I thought you’d get a kick out of this! :)
This is Janel (one of last weekend’s brides) and me from our junior year of high school. We were in a play together called “Into the Woods” which is a crazy musical where all of the fairy tales end up going terribly wrong. I was Cinderella and Janel was the Baker’s wife who my prince had an affair with – I’m telling you it’s a wierd one! Anyway, I just came across this so I thought I’d share. :) Direct flash, scanned in old 4×6, red-eye – my oh my we’ve come a long way!
