Crazy fun photography time with Lance and Stacy in Franklin!
What can I say? I completely love these guys! They are quirky and fun and totally adorable! We had the best time with them the other day and I’m really excited to see how their complete body of images comes together! A little wedding recreation, a game night on the roof, climbing in the weeds – we had a little of everything going on and it was great! =) Here’s a little sneak peek from our session…

Thanks for bringing your A-game you guys! Can’t wait for you to see the rest!!
Opal+Brad+A Gorgeous Summer Day = Fantastilicious!
Fantastilicious is my new word. We should all use it in every day speech so that people around the world will have the opportunity to experience the perfect blend of fantastic and delicious for themselves!
I met Opal when I was a sophomore and she a freshman in college. Opal is one of those people that you distinctly remember meeting for the first time because they made you feel so special right from the start. I remember she gave me the biggest hug and seemed so genuinely glad to meet me -it caught me off guard in the best possible way and she has been so dear to me ever since. It is always an especially wonderful experience to get to share in the wedding day of a close friend and Opal obviously has a special place in my heart because for the first time ever, I actually teared up at a wedding! Opal and Brad are an incredible couple and we were so glad to get to see them officially tie the knot this past weekend! Congratulations guys! Here’s to a long life together, filled with happiness and love! =)

Shooting With Purpose, Shooting With Style – September 3rd
We are generally quite terrible at remembering to give due notice (or any mention) for any speaking engagement that we do so in the spirit of change, we would like to let you know in advance about our next talk. Next Thursday (September 3rd), Sean and I will be speaking at our local Pictage User Group and we would love to see you there.
For those who don’t know, the Pictage User Group, otherwise known as PUG, is a community of local portrait and wedding photographers who get together to share ideas, learn, and get to know each other. Some of the biggest names in our industry come out on a regular basis to share their knowledge with the group as well and while we feel we are small fish in the speaker pond, we are excited to have been asked to share with our local community! =)
Please note: if you are not a member of Pictage, you are still more than welcome to attend PUG! In fact, we would love for you to join us! We meet on the first Thursday of every month at 6:30pm in the St. Bernard’s building in Hillsboro Village. The address is 2021 21st Ave South Nashville, TN. For more information about PUG or Pictage in general, you can contact our local PUG leaders Peter and Whitney Carlson.
If you’re interested in hearing more about what we’ll be covering next Thursday, please check out the description below:
Shooting with Purpose, Shooting with Style: Pushing the envelope and delivering amazing results, no matter what!
The location is awful, the light is bad, the wedding party runs late, things come up, and the couple doesn’t give you enough time after the ceremony. How many times have these things happened on any given wedding day? Sean and Mel McLellan have experienced any and all of the above on multiple occasions and they’ve developed a shooting style that has proven successful in beating all odds! They’ll share examples of amazing images captured in the most unlikely conditions, show you how they are able to capture a wide variety of imagery in a short period of time, and even cover a bit of their post-processing methods.
We look forward to seeing old faces and meeting new ones very soon! =)
