Many Thanks and Christmas Wishes
We have been so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love that we have received in the past few weeks. The blog comments, emails, cards, flowers, meals, thoughts, and prayers sent our way have meant more than anyone can possibly know. We cannot thank you enough. We are completely heartbroken over the loss of our son and only time will make us whole again but your support and love have helped to lessen our pain in this difficult time. You are incredible people. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you – really and truly, thank you so much.
It is our Christmas wish that each of you will look with fresh eyes on the treasure you have in your loved ones and take the time to show them how much they mean to you this season. If you have children, look into their eyes and remember what an incredible gift it is to be able to do even just that. When we look at all of the simple things we take for granted every day, it becomes so obvious how rich our lives really are and that every Christmas season is a wonderful one, no matter what. May you all have a beautiful and blessed Christmas.
Much love,
Mel and Sean
Family Emergency
Hey everybody–as most of you know, we were expecting our first son to be born any day now. Everything had been absolutely fine during all of our doctor’s visits, check up’s, etc.
Last week, we felt like something might not quite be right, so we went in the night before our scheduled weekly check up–just to be extra careful about everything. We expected they’d check everything out and send us home; however, within a matter of minutes of arriving at the hospital they said that our baby was experiencing some distress, and that we need to go ahead and do a c-section as a precaution to make sure that they could take care of any problems, but that everything would probably be all right.
Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out that way–long story short, there were completely unexpected complications, and we lost our baby.
They kept us at the hospital for a week to make sure that Mel recovered–which she did. I just wanted to get this post up to let everybody know what happened–and let you all know that we’ll be closing the office, for the most part, for the next couple of weeks. I’ll try and get back with anything pertinent, and we’ll still be getting any orders that have come in out to everybody (Christmas cards, etc.)–but please be patient if we aren’t able to respond right away.
Thank you so much for everyone who has sent cards, flowers, thoughts, prayers, and everything else. You’ve all been a big help, and we greatly appreciate it.
Much love,
Sean & Mel
Megan and Nick's Wedding – The Parthenon in Nashville
We’re counting down the days to the little man’s arrival. For my part, I would be totally fine with it if he just came on and got here! Fear of labor? No sir – fear of staying in this pregnant state any longer is waaaay worse! Less than three weeks to go! Hopefully…
Obviously, we’re in wind-down mode right now which means less readily accessible blog material as well as less time for blogging period. We’ve been absent from blog world for too long so to make it up to you, here are a TON of images from Megan and Nick’s beautiful wedding! This was our first wedding at the Parthenon and we were interested in shooting there because so many had said that it was an incredibly difficult location to light. Personally, I loved it! I love the grandeur of the place and Megan and Nick’s sense of style was especially well suited for the location. What a great wedding! Hope you enjoy it! :o)

Quick side note: This bouquet broke into single roses for all of the girls with messages attached to each. Isn’t that cool?

The End.
Thanks for looking! :o)
